Best Overall: December to March (Summer)

  • Why: Warm weather (20–28°C), ideal for beaches, vineyards, hiking, and water activities.

  • Pros: Lively atmosphere, long daylight hours, all services and restaurants open.

  • Cons: Most crowded and expensive time (especially around Christmas/New Year).

Quieter Alternative: March to May (Autumn)

  • Why: Mild temperatures, fewer tourists, grape harvest season.

  • Pros: Great for wine lovers, better accommodation rates, pleasant weather.

  • Cons: Some summer-only services start to scale back.

Spring (September to November)

  • Why: Blooming landscapes, fewer crowds, mild weather.

  • Pros: Good hiking weather, shoulder season pricing.

  • Cons: Sea might still be a bit cold for swimming.

Winter (June to August)

  • Why: Peaceful and quiet.

  • Pros: Lowest prices, moody coastal scenery, cozy winery experiences.

  • Cons: Cool and damp (10–15°C), limited ferry schedules and some seasonal closures.
